The Oxfordshire Sexual Health Service (OSHS) provides free sexual health screening (tests) including chlamydia testing, treatment, contraception and advice. They also provide care and treatment for people living with HIV. Remember, most infections ARE curable, don’t delay in getting tested.
The OSHS runs a clinic at Marcham Road Health Centre. Please call OSHS to book a telephone appointment, an appointment here or elsewhere (please do not drop-in). Note: Young people can also use the OSHS service so please make contact if you need help or advice.

If you have a problem with your eye(s), please use the link to contact one of our local opticians that run a Minor Eye Condition Service (MECS) and they can refer you directly to the hospital if required.
If you are unsure whether your symptoms can be assessed and treated by the service, please call the Oxford Eye hospitals eye casualty triage line, 01865 234567, NHS 111 or contact one of the participating optometry practices who will advise you.
Any of our clinicians can refer you to our Social Prescribing Service. Our doctor and nurse appointment times at the practice are short but our social prescribers can give you more time to understand your non-medical needs and focus on what matters to you. They can connect you to community groups and agencies for practical and emotional support; helping you to access local clubs, activities, education, leisure facilities, recovery projects, voluntary organisations and more.
We do ask our patients to come to the Health Centre whenever possible, where we have more facilities to help you, and the doctor’s travelling time which is saved is available for other patients.
If you feel you need a home visit, please call Reception and ask for a clinician to call you back.
We will send you an electronic message (on the NHS App, by SMS or Email), normally before/during your birthday month. The message will ask you to answer an online health questionnaire or book a review appointment, depending on the condition(s) you have. The appointment can be with a nurse, doctor or other clinician and you may be asked to book a follow up appointment with a different member of the practice team. For Type 2 diabetic patients, we also offer group consultations run by our social prescribers.
If you receive a message to book, please do so as soon as possible. Reminding patients who do not book is time-consuming.
If you have not received a prompt but feel you should have been contacted, please call us to check.
