Dr Rhodri Davies (m)

BSc MBBCh MRCGP DipDerm

Surgery Hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Dr Davies qualified in Cardiff, then trained as a GP in Gloucestershire before moving to Oxfordshire where he has been working since 2007.

He enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has a special interest in Dermatology.

Outside of work he enjoys food, politics, cricket and rugby having endured many years as a Welsh rugby fan.

Dr Michelle Galligan (f)
BSc MBBS MRCGP

Surgery Hours: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Dr Galligan studied medicine in Norwich and qualified as a Doctor in 2009.

She spent two years East of England practicing as a hospital doctor.

Dr Galligan then moved to Oxford to commence her GP training. She qualified as a GP in 2015 and since then has been working as a salaried GP at Marcham Road.

Dr Farid Garas (m)
BM BCh MA (Oxon) DPhil

Surgery Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday mornings and Fridays

Dr Farid Garas graduated from the University of Oxford in 2019. He gained experience working in Milton Keynes and Oxford before completing his GP training at Marcham Road in 2025, where he has chosen to remain as a salaried GP.

He enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in medical education, having previously taught medical students of all levels at the University of Oxford and the University of Buckingham. His clinical interests include neurology and the care of the elderly. In 2016, he completed a DPhil in Pharmacology at the University of Oxford, focusing his research on areas of the brain affected by Parkinson’s disease. He currently leads our weekly ward round at a local care home here in Abingdon.

When he isn’t busy chasing after his two young children, he enjoys baking, reading science fiction novels and playing board games.

Dr Rebecca Low (f)
BM BCh (Oxon) MA (Cantab) MRCGP DRCOG

Surgery Hours: Thursdays and Fridays

Dr Low graduated in 2011 from the University of Oxford. After 2 years working in various specialties in the East of England, she returned to Oxfordshire and became a GP in 2016.

She has a specialist interest in Osteoporosis and Adult Metabolic Bone Disease.

Dr Ellen MacIver (f)
MRCGP MA MBchB BSc (Hons) DRCOG 

Surgery Hours:

Dr MacIver qualified from the University of Leeds Medical School in 2015, she worked in the Aylesbury and Oxford areas before completing her GP training at Marcham Road in 2020. She worked in the Oxfordshire area for several years, returning to Marcham Road in 2022 as a salaried GP.

Dr MacIver has a particular interest in medical humanities and how we can rethink our experiences as doctors and our patients experiences with healthcare outside of traditional biomedicine.

She completed a Master’s degree in Applied Medical Humanities with Distinction in 2022 and also works as an academic GP in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care at the University of Oxford as an NIHR funded in-practice clinical fellow.

Dr Sarah Nobes (f)
MB, BCh MRCGP DCH DRCOG MSc PGCME

Surgery Hours: Mondays and Wednesday mornings

Dr Nobes qualified in 2001 from University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff and went on to complete my general practice training in Bridgend. After working as a locum GP in South and North Wales, she did an academic job with Cardiff University and developed an interest in Palliative Care doing an MSc at KCL.

She joined Marcham Road Surgery in 2009 and have been a partner since 2012. Dr Nobes is a GP trainer, mother and does not have much time for other things, but likes cooking, gardening and gigs.

Dr Katie Purohit (f)

Surgery Hours: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

Dr Purohit graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2020. She completed her Academic Foundation training in London before completing GP Training in Oxfordshire and then joining Marcham Road as a salaried GP.

She enjoys spending time with family and friends particularly through sport and plays tag rugby and netball. Her favourite food is apple and blackberry crumble!

Dr Timothy Robson (m)
BM BCh MA (Oxon) MRCGP

Surgery Hours: Mondays, Tuesday mornings and Friday mornings

Dr Robson graduated in 2011 from the University of Oxford. He completed his GP training in 2018 and has been a partner at Marcham Road since then.

His main interest is in education; he is a GP trainer and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education in 2022.

Dr Kate Trivedi (f)

Surgery Hours: Thursdays and Fridays

Dr Kate Trivedi qualified in 1997 from the University of Sheffield and completed her GP training afterwards on the Dorset Coast.

She joined the practice in 2003 as a salaried GP. During 2011-16 she took on a challenge away from medicine pursuing her love of the outdoors and setting up a walking holiday company. Now working back at Marcham Road, she is interested in all aspects of general practice.

She has two grown up children and away from work enjoys tennis, walking, cooking and travel.

Dr Sanjay Trivedi (m)
BA(Hons) MBCHB DRCOG DFFP FRCGP PGCME

Surgery Hours: Thursday mornings and Fridays

Dr Sanjay Trivedi qualified from The University of Sheffield in 1997. He completed is GP training in Dorset, before joining the Partnership at Marcham Road Health Centre in October 2003.

He is interested in all aspects of Family Health and enjoys being involved in the education as a GP trainer and a Medical student Tutor. Socially he likes cycling, cricket, food, tennis, travel and is a long-suffering Leicester City fan. He is also, more recently, developing a love for Yoga and Qi Gong.

Dr Kat Young (f)

Surgery Hours: Tuesdays and Fridays

Dr Young graduated in 2011 from University College London. She moved to Oxfordshire for her general practice training which she completed in 2019 and she has worked as a salaried GP at Marcham Road ever since. 

She has a particular interest in women’s health and fits implants and coils for contraception.
